聯繫匯率（currency board）

保羅．克魯曼（Paul Krugman）在他寫的《面對失靈的年代：克魯曼談金融海嘯》（The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008）一書，對聯繫匯率（currency board）制度做了精簡的解說：

Currency boards used to be standard in European colonial possessions. Such possessions would ordinarily be allowed to issue their own currency; but the currency would be rigidly tied in value to that of the mother country, .... That is, the public would be entitled to convert local currency into pounds or francs at a legally fixed rate, and the central bank would be obliged to keep enough of the mother country’s currency on hand to exchange for all of the local notes.
